Can I request a male or female interpreter?
Yes, you are welcomed to make appointment for an interpreter of a particular gender.
For Telephone Interpretation Service (TELIS), you can make call to the hotlines and make TELIS appointment at least 3 days in advanced.
For Escort Interpretation Service (EIS), you can make request via your public service providers.
CHEER will try to provide you with an interpreter of the requested gender.
Can I request an interpreter of a particular religion or cultural background?
No, CHEER assigns work to interpreters on the basis of availability of manpower, CHEER will not assign work to an interpreter on the basis of cultural background or religion.
