Civil Aid Service Cadet Corps Recruitment Days

The Civil Aid Service (CAS) is inviting application from eligible candidates to enrol as members of CAS.

The CAS is a government auxiliary emergency service.  The primary duty of the CAS is to provide civil support services during emergencies.  Members of CAS are trained to perform emergency duties during typhoons, flooding and landslips, search for and rescue people in distress in mountains; help evacuate or rescue victims trapped under collapsed buildings or buried in landslips; combat vegetation fires and conduct youth training.

The Civil Aid Service (CAS) will organise several CAS Cadet Corps Recruitment Days in 2018 to recruit youths at the age of 12 but under the age of 16. On-site interviews will be conducted. Details are as follows –

Date : 2 September 2018 (Sunday)
6 October 2018 (Saturday)
3 November 2018 (Saturday)
8 December 2018 (Saturday)

Time : First Session – starts at 10:00 a.m.
Second Session – starts at 11:30 a.m.
Third Session – starts at 2:30 p.m.

Location : CAS Headquarters, 8 To Wah Road, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon

service users who are at the age of 12 but under the age of 16, able to speak Cantonese and read simple Chinese, and are interested in joining the CAS Cadet Corps to attend the recruitment days. Youths who are interested to join the CAS Cadet Corps should bring their Hong Kong Identity Card and completed application form (CAS Form 103) attached below to attend the recruitment day in the company of their parents or guardians.

Applicants should be at least 16 years of age (applicant under 18 years of age should obtain from his/her parent or guardian a written consent); a permanent resident of Hong Kong; able to speak Cantonese, read and write Chinese, a Form 3 graduate or above,  Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend the Functional and Fitness Tests, Chinese writing and reading tests, interview and Medical Examination.
